Robo Army — play guide

What Robo Army wants from you

Robo Army (SNK) is a Neo Geo belt scroller with mech transforms: punch through robotic streets, grab power, and transform when the kit helps—not as a panic button into every crowd. Mash tourism into pins empties health mid-stage. Your job is screen control and transform timing—break surrounds, respect boss tells, and stop treating Neo Geo flash as free invincibility. Continues buy stage literacy; the exam is still clears with health left.

First minutes in Robo Army

Stage one: learn punch reach and a grab that breaks two before inventing full-screen special tourism. Transform when a true wall of robots demands it; burning the form on popcorn leaves you soft for the boss. Early stages are spacing labs under mech paint. One clean stretch with health left beats three pin deaths that looked flashy until a grab you ignored arrived.

Core systems in Robo Army

Normals, specials, grabs, transform states, item heals, and boss patterns define Robo Army. Transforms are finite advantages—waste them early and the boss meets you dry. Crowds spawn from edges; tunnel vision completes the pin. Bosses mix armor phases and grabs; standing center forever is a donation. Neo Geo art sells power fantasy; the stick still wants belt discipline under denser chips.

Score, continues, and resources in Robo Army

Stage clears with health and transform composure left beat mash scores that die mid-pin. Continues while surround deaths repeat; cut them once transforms are saved for real walls. Farming stage one for vanity mech time teaches the wrong muscle. Extends follow score when awarded—claim them after lane peeks feel honest under denser robot packs.

Mistakes that burn credits in Robo Army

Transform spam on singles, ignoring edge spawns, and special whiffs into pins burn Robo Army credits. Players also heal at full health mid-chaos and waste the window when the boss armor opens. Holding a vanity transform fantasy through a ready grab ends the life early. Freezing mid-stage for looks while edge spawns sandwich both sides is classic tilt. Next run: peek edges first, transform on packs, special on armor tells—stop inventing flashier transform tourism mid-pin.

Next steps after Robo Army

Final Fight is Capcom belt landmark if Robo Army’s spacing honesty still feels soft—re-learn edge clears there first under clearer robot gospel. Growl keeps Taito belt company warm on denser animal boards. Captain Commando is Capcom once Robo Army spacing honesty finally sticks and you want denser hero kits instead of Robo Army boards. Crowds thin cleaner once panic-mash specials stop mid-block. Clear one careful stage before vanity specials return on denser SNK cabinets.
