About Bogey Manor

Swinging a sword to destroy crystal balls allows the player to progress through the various floors of a haunted house. Utilizing a magic glove freezes ghosts and other creatures, providing a window to attack enemies. Players must follow a top-screen map to navigate doors and find objectives before the time limit expires.

Bogey Manor — play guide

What Bogey Manor wants from you

Bogey Manor is an early maze / haunted hybrid: clear stages, manage routes and packs, and respect scripts that punish greed into every nest. Charging every corridor as if armor never fails empties lives mid-maze. Peek corners, collect with purpose, and treat Bogey Manor as paced maze work—not mash tourism. The exam is still clears with lives left under Bogey Manor paint.

First minutes in Bogey Manor

First maze: practice corner peeks before inventing center-mash tourism through every pack. Collect when the path is honest; diving for vanity items mid-surround is expensive. Early mazes are peek labs under Bogey Manor dressing. One clean stretch with composure left beats three surround deaths that looked flashy until a ghost you ignored arrived.

Core systems in Bogey Manor

Movement, collectibles, ghost scripts, and maze layouts define Bogey Manor. Peeks are the system—charge blind and denser ghosts free-hit you mid-maze. Later mazes tighten with denser flanks; early mash habits fail harder under arcade scripts. Haunted art sells charm; the stick still wants maze discipline under denser peeks—never freeze mid-corridor for vanity kills.

Score, continues, and resources in Bogey Manor

Mazes cleared with lives left beat mash tourism that empties resources mid-pack. Keep continuing while surround deaths repeat; cut them once peek peeks are automatic. Farming maze one for vanity item grabs teaches the wrong muscle. Extends follow score when awarded—claim them after corner honesty sticks under denser ghosts, not after center greed that still dies mid-maze.

Mistakes that burn credits in Bogey Manor

Ignoring maze peeks, rushing every corridor, and freezing mid-path for looks burn Bogey Manor credits. Players also chase one sparkle while a second hazard fills the only safe lane. Holding still for a perfect timing while threats stack ends the life early. Tunneling on score flash while enemies sandwich both sides is classic tilt. Next run: peek corridors, move when open, advance short—stop inventing flashier rushes mid-close.

Next steps after Bogey Manor

Pac-Man densifies Namco peeks if Bogey Manor still feels opaque—re-learn maze peeks under clearer classic rules, then return. Spooky densifies once chase honesty sticks and you want denser ghost peeks. Wiping densifies Nichibutsu when you prefer vacuum peeks instead of Bogey Manor. Stay in maze cabinets until mash religion stops donating every life into a ghost mid-maze under denser scripts.
