About Pang (World)
Bouncing balloons of various sizes fill the screen, forcing the player to shoot them to cause them to split into smaller pieces. Navigating the museum requires dodging these expanding hazards while avoiding birds and dogs that can paralyze the character. Players can choose between standard stage-based progression or a continuous panic mode to increase the difficulty.
Player layout in our catalog: 2P sim.

Pang (World) — play guide
What Pang / Buster Bros. wants from you
Pang / Buster Bros. (Mitchell/Capcom) is a single-screen balloon / shoot cab: clear boards with shot honesty and bounce peeks before continues empty. Shot honesty beats mash. Learn Pang windows cold—do not paste Bubble Bobble charts blindly—the balloon-split and platform scripts are their own exam. Calm first boards until shot timing is narratable; pang chrome is packaging, not free invulnerability or free board clears on every screen for vanity sprays into every balloon while a hit finishes the life.
First minutes in Pang / Buster Bros.
First boards: peek balloon sizes, time shots, and learn platform windows before panic-mash tourism through every bounce. Power-cycle once so Pang chrome stops looking like Bubble Bobble. Early boards teach Pang grammar: planned shots before mash routes that death-tax mid-board when denser balloon packs arrive on later rounds. Hold that grammar before vanity sprays. One clean stretch with composure left beats three balloon deaths that looked busy until a split you ignored arrived.
Core systems in Pang / Buster Bros.
Move, shoot, platform as wired, board goals, lives/continues, and Pang UI define the systems. Skill is bounce literacy under pressure—not mashing every spray into a large balloon path. After continues, reconfirm board and balloon state before racing again. Keep a one-sentence peek-before-shot rule ready before the second board starts on this balloon-shoot set, and treat split peeks as tempo tools rather than scenery you notice after the hit.
Score, continues, and resources in Pang / Buster Bros.
Board clears and survival score the run; balloon hits and empty lives tax continues. Continues are coins while learning denser later boards. Fewer panic sprays and fewer ignored peeks keep credits alive. Farming easy boards forever without reading denser packs still leaves Pang unread. Progress is chrome that no longer forces death loops mid-board on later rounds, not a pasted clear that still mash-sprays every balloon without a split plan.
Mistakes that burn credits in Pang / Buster Bros.
Mash-spraying every balloon, ignoring splits, never waiting for a clean window, tunneling on scenery while a hit finishes you, and rage-continuing after death streaks burn Pang credits. Power-cycling mid-tilt without a plan burns another credit. Next credit: peek first, shoot on plan—stop mash tourism for scenery and board panic on later boards.
Next steps after Pang / Buster Bros.
When Pang boards clear without constant balloon deaths, compare Super Pang and Bubble Bobble deliberately for single-screen contrast, then return with shot drills on the denser boards that still tax you. Balloon deaths drop once panic-mash sprays stop mid-split. Cousin balloon cabinets help as contrast after Pang feels automatic—not as escape from boards you still mash for chrome. Clear one careful board before vanity sprays return on denser boards.
