About Speak & Rescue

Earth's defense relies on piloting a lunar spaceship to destroy incoming alien hordes in Stratovox. Players use a joystick to navigate the vessel and a single button to fire projectiles, attempting to prevent human abductions. This space shooter supports up to two players for cooperative combat against the invading alien fleet.

Speak & Rescue — play guide

What Speak & Rescue wants from you

Speak & Rescue is an early rescue / flight hybrid: clear stages, manage drops and altitude, and respect walls that punish greed into every nest. Holding fire into every pack empties lives mid-stage. Sweep threats, drop with purpose, and treat Speak & Rescue as paced rescue work—not attract-mode slides. The exam is still clears with lives left under Speak & Rescue paint.

First minutes in Speak & Rescue

Stage one: practice short altitude peeks before inventing center-fire tourism through every wall. Drop when the target is honest; freezing mid-strafe for vanity hits is expensive. Early stages are scan labs under Speak & Rescue dressing. One clean stretch with composure left beats three crash deaths that looked busy until a wall you ignored arrived.

Core systems in Speak & Rescue

Flight movement, drops, altitude peeks, enemy scripts, and stage layouts define Speak & Rescue. Scan is the system—tunnel on one sprite and the wall finishes you mid-stage. Later stages tighten; early freeze habits fail harder under denser walls. Rescue art sells charm; the stick still wants keep-scanning rescue discipline under denser peeks—never freeze mid-drop for vanity kills.

Score, continues, and resources in Speak & Rescue

Stages cleared with lives left beat tunnel scores that die mid-wall. Keep continuing while crash deaths repeat; cut them once sweeps are automatic. Farming stage one for vanity single-target hits teaches the wrong muscle. Extends follow score when awarded—claim them after scan honesty sticks under denser walls, not after freeze tourism that still eats a flank threat.

Mistakes that burn credits in Speak & Rescue

Tunnel-fire greed on one altitude, ignoring flank foes, and freezing mid-drop for looks burn Speak & Rescue credits. Players also chase one sparkle while a second foe chips from behind the camera. Holding a vanity drop fantasy through a packed frame ends the life early. Tunneling on score flash while a flank finishes you mid-rescue is classic tilt. Next run: sweep the frame first, shoot true lanes, drop when calm—leave flashier tunnel camps for empty skies.

Next steps after Speak & Rescue

Lunar Rescue densifies Taito peeks if Speak & Rescue still feels opaque—re-learn rescue peeks under clearer classic rules, then return. Choplifter densifies Sega once scan honesty sticks and you want denser chopper peeks. Tornado densifies DECO when you prefer storm peeks instead of Speak & Rescue. Stay in rescue cabinets until tunnel-fire religion stops emptying every credit into a wall mid-stage under denser pops.
